For me, creating art is about entering a place of timelessness. And then the Magic happens when I take a break and return to a piece with fresh eyes, to see it as if for the first time. Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain is probably my favorite art book. What it teaches about the mechanics of seeing and perception I’ve found nowhere else. Favorite subjects are landscapes and portraits. They each have shadows, highlights, crags and crevasses.
